Superintendent’s 2025-26 Elementary School Student Advisory Board Meets

The Cherokee County School District Superintendent’s Elementary School Student Advisory Board gathered today for its first meeting of the school year!  The board, established last year by Superintendent of Schools Mary Elizabeth Davis, is made up of one fifth-grade student leader from each of CCSD’s elementary schools.  During the listening session, students shared what they love about their school and how CCSD could make their school even better.  A similar board of middle school student leaders was formed last year and will meet later this month, and a new high school board is launching this school year with a freshman class. These boards all complement the longtime Student Delegates to the School Board program for high school senior student leaders.  Students’ valued insights are essential in our mission to be the highest performing school district in Georgia!
