In the principal’s words: Parent volunteers Mr. and Mrs. Jones support our School Improvement Plan through increasing focus on attendance with positive incentives; they provide monthly award certificates and special treats. They also sponsor drawings for positive office referrals and often surprise our staff with delicious treats. They spearhead ‘high-five Friday,’ where students are greeted by volunteers on the first Friday of each month. They show up with music, foam, high-five hands, costumes and even brought a snow machine in January. Mr. and Mrs. Jones are the kind of volunteers who say, ‘how high’ when asked to jump.”
