Celebrating Our 2024 Teachers of the Year: Ball Ground ES STEM Academy!

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Month, we’re celebrating a school 2024 Teacher of the Year each day!  Fifth-grade teacher Crystal Bennett, a 13-year educator, is the Teacher of the Year for Ball Ground ES STEM Academy and the Cherokee County School District Teacher of the Year.

“Mrs. Bennett always puts the time and effort in to make sure her students are not only being the best they can possibly be in the classroom, but also the best they can be outside of the classroom,” a former student shared.  “She sat with me for hours, but one of the things I admire most about her is that she did the same for every single student she had.  She never made us feel like we were taking up too much of her time or made us feel like we weren’t smart enough.  I’m an AP and Honors level student now who still thinks back to the teacher who refused to give up on me because I needed a little extra help.”
